It all started when…

I watched the profound shifts made by my parents during and after their divorce as they went to individual, group, and couples counseling. I became interested in the idea of becoming a therapist and decided to take an Intro to Psychology and Sociology course offered by my high school. Thinking I would love psychology (as there is an assumption most therapists hold an undergraduate degree in psychology), I was surprised to find that I didn’t love it and instead, I actually loved sociology.

Went into Clinical Mental Health Counseling instead of Marriage and Family Therapy and still got the Marriage and Family Certificate at University of Central Florida.

Interned at HD Counseling working with clients at the Florida Safety Counsel who were dealing with addiction and/or poor relationships with alcohol or substances.

Got trained in Trauma-Focused Hypnotherapy.
Specialized in Trauma/PTSD and Complex Trauma/CPTSD

Became a Mom

Got my own ADHD diagnosis when over-functioning was no longer “effective” (hint: it was never actually effective)

Became a qualified supervisor for Mental Health and Marriage and Family Interns.
