Hello! Congratulations on taking your first steps in your journey to better mental health! Beginning counseling can feel like a large undertaking but it is well worth it. You have already shown strength by looking for a potential counselor. While I do provide a complementary consultation where we can get to know each other, here is a little about me and my journey.

I believe that individuals are impacted by the different systems in which they interact and to learn more about how individuals are influenced by these systems, I got my BA in Sociology at the University of Central Florida. From there, I continued at the University of Central Florida to pursue my Masters in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy.

I took my first steps as a counselor at the Community Counseling and Research Center at UCF. I continued my journey by interning at a private practice working with individuals, couples, and facilitating groups. I have worked with clients with issues ranging from substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, relational issues, and identity development. I look forward to meeting you!

My work with couples and families at the VA shaped my belief that connection is essential to healing. Trauma, stress, and past experiences can create distance in our relationships or within ourselves and therapy offers a safe place to rebuild that sense of safety and closeness. 

I specialize in intimacy and trauma-informed relationship work, helping couples reconnect, navigate communication challenges, and repair trust. I also support individuals and teens working through anxiety, identity changes, and the lingering impact of past wounds. 

My style is compassionate, grounded, and collaborative. I meet you where you are and walk with you as you explore old patterns, strengthen emotional safety, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
